I am replacing my first set of McGard locks which I bought in 1992. I have used them on 3 different Ford vehicles in 18 years. They are only now showing signs of wear in the area where the key pattern turns the lock's nose. And that in New York, where vast amounts of salt are used on the streets in winter. I'll probably be able to use them longer, but I think they were worth my money. Let me tell you how powerful they are. I've worked on cars for 26 years removing cheap latch eyes with pliers, pipe wrenches, or by hitting them with an old head and removing them with a ratchet or broken rod. This is not possible with McGard locks, believe me I've tried! You just can't take these things off! Buy with confidence. I even lost my key 2 or 3 times in 18 years and they sent a replacement quickly. Just make sure you save the insert with the information on it. I keep it in the glove box so I know where the information is if I lose the key.
