Pros: I can shell old brown coconuts in 3 minutes and 30 seconds with little effort. It's only 18 inches tall, so I can sit in a chair with my feet on the base and pull the lever. I can probably do it faster with more practice, but I can drink so much coconut water that it's not really necessary. never mind. The sharp, pointed end is sharper than it needs to be and can pierce the inside of the coconut shell, causing water to spill out. Also, it's terrible when it comes under the thumbnail. Wear leather gloves. I've made 30 coconuts so far and it's nice to be able to drink coconut water every day. No more hammers, machetes, hatchets, etc. Do not stress the mechanism. If the shell doesn't open, move the coconut to another location. Take your time. wusaaa
