I bought a very nice wall clock in the gift shop of the Frank Lloyd Wright Museum in Chicago. When I put the battery in, I was shocked at how loudly the second hand was ticking. He was in the guest room and our guests complained that he kept them up at night. Some even removed the clock from the bedroom while staying with us. I was thinking about replacing the watch, then it occurred to me to look for a replacement for the Revain movement. I found this for around €5 and ordered it. It took me about an hour to take the watch apart and replace the movement and now it runs smooth and quiet. I was even able to replace the original hands that came with the watch. Very good! One piece of advice I've learned the hard way is to be careful not to get dirt inside when assembling the watch.
