Review on Bilstein 24 196529 Monotube Shock Absorber by Mdl Thurston

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Okay while this is going on I'm thinking

I don't know what happened but I'm frustrated as hell. Bought these in the summer of 2016 for my 2010 Mazda 3 2.5L which I only use to and from work about 8 miles one way. In 2019 my suspension felt awful, ended up replacing a couple of arms, tie rods etc only to find out why, I never thought of going back to these shocks because they were brand new, they were only 2.5 years old and then hit covid so put that off. In short, after they finally replaced them, the attached pictures are what the person looks like even if there is a hole in it. Not sure what went wrong but very disappointed. Anyway, it drove well for the first 2.5 years, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money to replace it often. Bought the Mazda originals just to be safe, didn't want to go through that again. Attention buyers.

Pros
  • Installation Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
