The tamping plate we received was of much inferior quality to the matching shaft and came with broke the first two uses (just push down the dirt). , nothing unusual). The shaft is quality steel, but the plate appears to be cheap cast iron. The replacement disk we were sent was of equally poor quality and broke just as quickly. When we bought the part it came through a third party (Drill Spot) which was a huge headache. In the end we were able to work directly with Bosch to get a refund as they wanted to return the parts to see what went wrong. So make sure you are buying directly and not from a third party.
