I bought this for my 1997 GMC Sierra 1500. Instructions were fine, printed on paper with blurry images and lettering. I installed the lock as instructed, but when I pulled the handle to open the tailgate, the lock jammed the handle mechanism. I had to remove the lock and cut some metal in order for the handle and internal mechanism to work properly. When I reinstalled it, the lock wouldn't lock the handle. I had to remove the latch tab and bend it so that it caught on the tailgate handle and latched it. Even then, the entire castle is weak at best. You can easily bypass this with a screwdriver if you really want to. Not worth the money.
