Easy to use, quick to install and clearly visible

This battery monitor is very easy to use. It is set to 12V by default. There is a QR code on the packaging which leads to a short 3-page guide. But it's easy - just press and hold the button, turn on the device, then dial the passcode for your battery, turn off the device and reconnect. Voila, done! The default display uses percentages, but you can press the button to see the voltage, although it reverts to percentages if you turn it off. When testing batteries with voltages below 6V, e.g. a single lithium-ion cell (code c1), the backlight will not turn on. For everyone else, the backlight is nice and bright. For mounting, there are two types of screws, which are neatly secured in the black foam that also holds the delicate electronics in place during transit. Of course, when connecting this to a device, be sure to place it behind the power button so the backlight doesn't drain the battery. Fun fact, if you plug it into a higher than expected voltage it still reads 100%. I just chose not to try to connect this block in reverse order. Also, it's not waterproof.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Almost everything fits
