Review on Luber Finer LFH8759G Hydraulic Filter by Mark Allen

Fits as expected and does not fall out. But when tightened with a filter wrench, some of the white paint flaked off. It is Fram Orange under White color. Doesn't look like the orange has been scratched, just white paint on it. I'm not a Fram fan at all. Their products are marginal at best and leverage a previously respected name. I can't think of any reason to paint a filter orange and then white unless it started life as an orange fram filter. Maybe it's fram seconds? I am a former automotive engine mechanic and the shop I worked at did not guarantee an engine with Fram filters installed. I've seen many fall apart inside for no reason. I will return to Wix and pay a few bucks more.
