Review on SNAIL SAKK Catcher Necessary Efficient Hardware and Door Hardware & Locks by Ahmed Rowe

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A small problem best in hardware

Before I bought the Snail Sakk, one thing bothered me. Once installed, the pouch lays flat against the door and back of the post office, making it a bit difficult to insert mail. We run a large industrial apartment complex and our tenants put their rent checks in the mail slot in the door. You had to make sure the check with the snail bag installed went all the way through the slot. I used a wire hanger to make an edge that will push the top of the snail bag away from the door allowing the mail to get through much easier. . I straightened the wire hanger (I cut off the ends where the hanger is twisted) and straightened it all the way. He was probably about 35 inches long. I folded the right corners about 10 inches from each end and folded the other right corner perpendicular to the first about five inches from the end. I then tucked the ends of the hanger into the seams on each side of the bag where the bottom velcro attaches to the door. The hanger pushed the top of the sack about five inches away from the door, allowing the mail to fall easily into the sack. I will try to attach some photos to explain better.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Expensive
