My dogs eat my mail. In fact, the arrival of the postman is the highlight of their day. This soft, velvety pouch slips easily over mail. The velcro successfully keeps it in place so my mail is delivered safely in the bag. The wide range of colors allowed me to choose one that matched my front door. Much better than the laundry basket I used. If you have a very determined dog, I suspect it can be removed with a strong pull.

When we moved into our new [for us] townhouse, there was a terrible mail slot in the door. I was surprised these things still exist. The cold air came in unimpeded, anyone could open the slit and look in, and every day I came home with mail on the floor. I'll admit I don't like the way it looks on my door but it does exactly what I need. My adorable little pooch kept chewing on the mail, so every day I would come home and see letters strewn on my porch because they flew through the gap and at least one of them was half eaten. The day she almost destroyed the check I knew I had to come up with something else and it's perfect. Before I bought the Snail Sakk, one thing bothered me. Once installed, the pouch lays flat against the door and back of the post office, making it a bit difficult to insert mail. We run a large industrial apartment complex and our tenants put their rent checks in the mail slot in the door.
