Collars seem to work well and I would not advise anyone to buy them. There are only two of them but I still find myself playing around with some of them with different sized bits to figure out which collar to use. And I think the reason for that is that I want to use a smaller one if possible. The reason for this is that both collars are quite long (the larger one is about 1.75 inches long, the smaller one is about 1-1/8 inches long). And the useful length of the drill after drilling compared to the length of the sleeve can be an issue with what's left to drill. The sleeve length may not leave you much exposed drill bit to drill (even with my explanation, you might be a bit surprised by the limitation once you've tried it). A picture showing collars on bats. those are pretty long drills. very likely longer than you might have. However, if you have long bits, this might not be a problem for you. However. I've found this to be a problem for me more often than I thought. Anyway, just FYI. One good thing: Most locking rings are metal with screws. And I haven't found one that hasn't disappointed me in one way or another. The advantage of this set is that it will not damage your bits. Which I definitely like. In that sense they are unique in my experience.
