I bought this 16oz borosilicate measuring cup primarily to heat water for tea in the microwave. No matter how slowly I water, a few tablespoons of water always end up on the kitchen counter. On the other hand, the borosilicate compound seems to repel the calcium "dust" that used to quickly accumulate on the container I used. for this purpose. And the dimensions are large and easy to read. Some reviewers complained about the sticker on the inside of the mug. I agree it's a stupid place to put a sticker and it sticks pretty well there. The solution for me was to pour in a couple ounces of water and microwave it for a minute or two, after which most of the sticker could be removed. Residue can be removed with a drop of dish soap, a crumpled paper towel and some elbow grease. (But why didn't they put a sticker on the outside bottom and use a less durable adhesive?) But seriously, the spout needs redoing. It should be WIDE and DEEP. UPDATE: I haven't read other people's reviews of this product, so someone may have already suggested this: To avoid messing up the counter, ignore a faulty SOCK. Instead, pour the liquid onto the rim of the mug that is the same distance between the spout and the thumb side of the handle. Voila! You no longer have to wipe the counter.
