Review on 🔥 EBC Brakes Yellowstuff DP41988R Street and Track Brake Pad: A High-Performance Solution by Andrew Britton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pads squeak after a month?!?! But that can be fixed.

These pads creak after 1 month of normal city driving. The squeaky noise is coming from one of the pads, which has a loose black backing plate (pad) (the plate (pad) that the EBC lays on, by the way, should reduce noise without making noise). When the brake is applied, you apply vibration to the loose plate (disk) to create a squeaking sound. To fix this, simply remove the black backing plate (seal) from the pads and lubricate (I used Permatex 24125 Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant) all points where the pad and piston/caliper make contact and that solved the squeak problem. to me. I've used EBC Redstuff and OEM Audi pads in the past, Yellowstuff's EBC has significantly more stopping power compared to those two, but Yellowstuff will give you a lot of brake dust on your wheels (I don't mind because I have black wheels). I do not recommend using yellow material pads on OEM or some cheap rotors as yellow pads bite the rotor harder and more aggressively and these OEM and cheap rotors may not be able to handle the aggressiveness of the rotor. Pads are yellow. Above all, however, very good pads if you are looking for braking performance on the race track or when driving "fast on the road".

Pros
  • The best in their niche
Cons
  • Not everything fits
