Don't think you can use them instead of .

Don't think you can use them instead of a real trackpad. I ran through a whole set of brand new front ends in a weekend at the track in my B8 S4. They basically melted and lost most of their stopping power towards the end because they were so glassy.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • I will add later

Although marketed as a "track pad" it doesn't stand up to rough handling. If you're into autocross I'm sure you're fine, but driving a heavy car (S4) and pushing it on a hard braking course (Laguna Seca, even Thunderhill) isn't going to make you a good day. I had these front and back and wore off about half the front in one day. The rear pads overheated and crystallized and literally fell apart during my typical Highway 101 drive. 70% of the life changed from metal to metal in 10 minutes giving

Not for track days.

I spent two track days with these pads on stock calipers and discs. Motul RBF600 and SS brake lines were the only two modifications I made prior to the trackday. These pads were rubbish after 8 30 minute sessions. The lining material came off. When I removed the pad maybe 80% of the pad was actually in contact with the rotor. Not sure if the Revain gets factory seconds or anything but these are NOT good pads for trackdays. At best, high-performance outdoor pads. The car I drove was a 2013 A4…

Pads squeak after a month?!?! But that can be fixed.

These pads creak after 1 month of normal city driving. The squeaky noise is coming from one of the pads, which has a loose black backing plate (pad) (the plate (pad) that the EBC lays on, by the way, should reduce noise without making noise). When the brake is applied, you apply vibration to the loose plate (disk) to create a squeaking sound. To fix this, simply remove the black backing plate (seal) from the pads and lubricate (I used Permatex 24125 Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant) all…

  • The best in their niche

  • Not everything fits

Budget overlays are made by Street, Track, Autocross. Price

Very happy with these pads. They are one of the cheapest manufacturers and I have gotten a lot of junk from them in the past. Although these specific ones seem pretty good. I've used them as rear brakes on track days and they handle the heat of repetitive 10-minute HPDE sessions without fail. I'm not sure if they are that good up front. Have ridden them quite a lot of autocross and never had any problems. A bit dusty, but no worse than regular pads. There were no problems with squeaks and other
