Electric heater fire hazard

On Saturday 23rd June 2018 a plug caught fire even though the heater was off at the time. I put out the fire with a handheld fire extinguisher. The electrician found no fault with the home's wiring, but said the heater plug and connection cord were not up to the wattage required by the unit.
