I've started driving a new tank so I bought these to keep an easy eye on my pH/nitrite/nitrate levels. The nitrite and nitrate levels were fluctuating and at the recommendation of others I purchased the Freshwater Master Test Kit API. My nitrites went off the scale according to the API but there was absolutely no change on these strips. The pH was close to the API results, but no more. Save money and just buy an API kit. It's a lot easier to use than it looks and the results are reliable, unlike those test strips.
