Qguai is not suitable for testing freshwater aquariums

I bought one of these aquarium test strips. I also have a simple Freshwater API test suite. Sometimes I just don't have time to use the API, so I bought Qguai test strips. I didn't get good results with the test strips, so I used the basic API tests and Qguai's results weren't close to the API tests. In my opinion, Qguai test strips are not suitable for testing freshwater aquariums.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Minor problems

Only suitable for pH, and then hardly.

I've started driving a new tank so I bought these to keep an easy eye on my pH/nitrite/nitrate levels. The nitrite and nitrate levels were fluctuating and at the recommendation of others I purchased the Freshwater Master Test Kit API. My nitrites went off the scale according to the API but there was absolutely no change on these strips. The pH was close to the API results, but no more. Save money and just buy an API kit. It's a lot easier to use than it looks and the results are reliable…

  • Everything is fine!

Not for aquariums in aquarium test kits

I have had an aquarium for over 20 years. Now that my little ones are old enough to reach out and understand, let's just say I'm having trouble with the aquarium. I bought them and tried two. The colors blurred and it was impossible to get an accurate reading cue* with the second. I ended up ordering regular ones because those didn't work. There is no information about the tank level, so I think it's universal. Don't buy these for your aquarium, I don't think they are accurate enough to read…

  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few little things

Great Idea, Terrible Execution

The idea of one step yielding results for 9 different tests is attractive. However, this product does not last as promised. With all accuracy - the colors flow into each other. There are also colors that don't match, shades or something else. Some of the results are completely different from the other two test sets I have. Also, completely from what's in the fish shop. The written description in the table on the bottle is almost illegible. I don't think it was intended for those who see less…

Best money in aquarium test kits

Parameters never changed in a brand new bike aquarium. Bought a big brand from the store and exactly regretted wasting my time on it, it could have killed my fish. Luckily, my intuition told me something was wrong. My fish started to get nervous, even though all the indicators (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, etc.) showed zero values for all parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, etc.), except for the pH, which was considered neutral. It wasn't neutral, it was slightly alkaline. Luckily, I…

Don't Compromise When Testing Water

First off, these are the worst test strips I've ever used. I liked the idea of the test strips because they pretty much tell you what your parameters are without having to fiddle with so many vials. Well, let me tell you, for around $6 you can save yourself the headache of wondering what's wrong with your aquarium, much more accurately with a master kit. Water parameters are very important to save you headache and heartache when you notice fish loss, fish diseases or plant problems. It is…

Pros
  • Convenient
Cons
  • Unreliable

Completely inaccurate

Don't worry. You are so inaccurate. I'm surprised there are still living residents in this quarantine tank. I used these strips for my quarantine tank so I can keep an eye on things more often. On a whim, I decided to use my basic freshwater kit for the purposes of this review. I relied on them and lost 2 light frogs as a result. They are so hard to find in my area and ordering online is expensive. I'm both angry that they died because of something I could have changed - how I tested the water…
