Review on Bosch 607335 Water Assembly Washer by Keize Barraza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Spend $300 to have someone else do the work, or do something by hand for less than $30. Difficult choice :-)

If you liked my review, please give it a thumbs up. I only write reviews to help other Revain buyers. I do not receive product refunds (I buy them with my own money like many of you) and I write about my experiences to improve Revain reviews for all of us. Inflow problem after we got home from vacation. This was the first service/parts failure we've encountered in 12 years of my ownership. This is a device that makes me really happy. Truly the BEST dishwasher we've ever had. I ran some simple tests to confirm what might be wrong and isolated my problem from a water supply issue. There are really only 3 features that can prevent water from entering the dishwasher and the water inlet valve is usually the first item to check. Knowing that our house had a faulty plumbing system for 11 years (until we had a minor flood) that we had to completely replace the pipes in our house (Kitec pipes), I suspected that the accumulation of dirt over the Time the supply permanently stuck or stopped the valve solenoid from opening/actuating the valve mechanism. So my choice was to hire an appliance repairman who would offer me $300 to fix this if it really was a problem, or I could have it done for less than $30 for all the parts ($16 for this valve and 13 new 5- Inch Braided Hoses and 90 Degree Elbow, Fluidmaster B6W60 Dishwasher Connector with 3/8" and 3/4" Elbows, Braided Stainless Steel - 3/8 Female x 3/8 Female, 5 ft (60 in) long, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005D2K6MW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). So I took p to spend $30 and try to fix it with some YouTube videos and an online Bosch repair guide. After about 60 minutes we completely installed the new valve and checked it for leaks. internal dishwasher water hose from an old valve assembly. Over time, in this case 12 years, the tubing has become firmly attached to the connector end of the valve. Nothing a flathead screwdriver couldn't loosen, along with some elbow grease and protective gloves I was able to disconnect the hose assembly from the old valve. With the hose disconnected, I reassembled the new valve with its new 90 degree elbow (along with tape if necessary), making sure the elbow was out of the way of the valve faceplate mounting screws, and the Inner hose reattached the new valve, reconnected the hose clamp, made sure the clamp was secure, connected the power connector and ground connection, and finally screwed the valve faceplate to the dishwasher. The assembly took about 15 minutes. I then used lots of tape to connect the old braided power wire to the new wire and routed it through the closet wall, pulling out the old power wire while the new wire was attached. Once I had enough open hose, I removed the tape and connected the compression ends of the supply line to the hot water supply under the sink and then to the dishwasher; Hand tight plus 1 full turn with an adjustable wrench. After checking the connection for leaks, I ran an evening wash to see if the washing machine worked. And so it was. Eventually the water got into the dishwasher and we ran this cycle to its full capacity (30 minutes). After making sure everything was in order, I installed the final pieces (skid plate and soundproofing foam) to complete the repair. In general, the repair was easy. On a scale of 1 to 5 I would rate this a 2. With a few simple tools and about 60-90 minutes, any professional can do this repair and save a few hundred dollars.
