As another reviewer said, although within the width specifications this handle will not fit all doors and you won't know how bad it is until you poke holes in your door. I had to modify my van's door to accommodate a grille, but that's not the right thing. Between the rod and the screen, the minimum distance can be 1/2 to 3/4 inch. You cannot grab the bar due to this minimal distance as it could damage the screen. So pushing the door works, but not closing it. The quality is negligible for the expected use of this push rod. I bought 2 but I will be sending the second one back.
