The directions are very pixelated and hard to see but luckily it was pretty easy. The plug on my '04 Rodeo was in the socket bay as described, but it was taped out of sight to the bundle of wires that went to the taillights. I bent the panel surrounding the jack compartment to the side (no tools required) to get a better angle on the tailgate side. The included bushing fits perfectly into the bushing hole under the jack. The jack bay also had a smaller socket facing the car - it's smaller and doesn't fit so don't get confused. The correct socket wasn't very visible from the interior, it was much easier to see under the car. All in all it took me about 15 minutes to install.
