I purchased this device with the intention of using it as a RAID 5 storage device so that important data would be redundant and secure. When I plugged in my Mac and set the switches for it nothing happened so I figured I need a driver or software but there was no manual or information. So I went to their website and the page that could have had a manual was all in Chinese. I took a chance, clicked the icon and got something, but it was useless, as was the driver. I then took it to an older Mac with an older OS to try it out. This time the program worked, but it didn't work. Instead of a RAID array, I got a huge disk that I can't use from a data protection point of view. I contacted the support team after searching the site but never received a reply. Maybe they'll translate it. Ironically, it has a silver Mac look but is useless. It's not quite as quiet either, which is a shame for audio work. It's just another piece of Chinese junk. Don't buy or you will regret it.
