6/2019Before the hike, I took a good look at how to pack my gear in a bag as recommended. The "Military Grade" material is definitely not even 1% waterproof. Traveling I-5 between Cali and Oregon and thinking my gear was dry and safe, little did I know that all of my camping gear (sleeping bags and pillows) got wet. It ended up costing me an expensive night at the hotel and I couldn't return the item because my first use was outside the return window. Otherwise, this bag appears to be made from quality materials (though not military grade). But it's definitely not waterproof and shouldn't be advertised or sold as such. Review updated February 22, 2020 I am updating this review to give this business a 5 star customer service rating. Company owner Danny R. contacted us and sent us a new RoofPax that had an improved leaking issue (19cf RoofPax Rooftop Carrier 2020, improved and upgraded roof rack). We will update the review again after using the new product. Updated review 12/1/20 in addition to our previous review. This new upgraded bag is of much higher quality. Went to Oregon on an off-road hike; Went through snow, ice and storms, no leaks and all our belongings safe and sound. Great product with great customer service.
