I bought this digital microscope to use with my son. We already have one with a flexible crane base and I wanted another one with a more traditional tripod or stabilized base. Although this microscope is advertised as working with cell phones, smartphones and tablets, I was unable to connect it. But that's fine because I've typically used it with a laptop running Windows 10 and for that purpose - with a USB port - it was plug and play. To be honest, the base of this microscope is not that reliable. as i want. Even when twisted as tight as possible, it tends to sag or sag under its own weight. Keep this in mind when relying on a stand for rigidity. But on the other hand, for my purposes and my young son (4 years old), we do not split atoms and do not examine mitochondrial DNA. This video I made is about beach sand and we're going to do that until it's much older. I think we will also look at some leaves, fruits and vegetables. Therefore, not even a stand is needed. Image quality is good, the focus ring works great, and the LED backlight is a real plus (because the closer you get, the more backlight you need). Basically everyone is happy. except base/stand.
