Mold seems to kill, odor takes time to dissipate

Mold recently attacked two of my vehicles: an SUV and a trailer. I replaced carpet in an SUV, but before putting in the new carpet I sprayed it liberally on all hard surfaces and just let it dry. I wanted to kill any spores that might be hiding under the old carpet. No new water has entered and so far so good. As for the caravan, I had a water leak from the bracket leaking under the carpet in the pull out area. I lifted whatever I could to allow air to circulate and let it dry for a few days. Open the door and breathe in the smell of mold. I steam cleaned the carpet and then immediately sprayed sporicidin all over the carpet. Put a fan on, make sure there are plenty of open windows and everything was dry the next day. After closing the RV and checking a few days later the sporicidin smell was still pretty strong so I vacuumed the carpet and it helped. It's still up in the air, but better. I don't like strong scents and Sporicidin doesn't use floral scents. In fact, they may not be using anything at all, and that's exactly how chemicals smell. Just don't spray it on and expect it to be in there the next day if you soak something hard. Clean/vacuum after complete drying.
