I read in the reviews of the remote control I bought that it can easily break if dropped so I bought this rubberized case for it. It fits very well, with two holes for IR emitters to shine through. The sides feel a little loose because there's a long stretch of rubber without much support, so there's nothing to be done about that, but it fits perfectly elsewhere. This makes the remote feel "muscular" and solid. It's easier to hold on to now, so I doubt I'll drop it as often as my old remote (which was small and slippery, like a bar of soap with buttons, but more fragile). The bottom opening of the case has a rounded edge around the keyboard that raises the keyboard slightly off the table, which should help the key markings last longer without fading.
