Review on Pearl Izumi Jacket Screaming X Large by Johnny Grant

I recently replaced my excellent 2001 Moonstone Goretex jacket with this one. I've only used it on a couple of trips so far, but it's exactly what you'd expect from this PI gear: well made, with great fabric, good stitching and attention to detail. From a lightly coated zip collar (great for sealing and preventing zips poking through fabric) to a small zip chute to protect your neck, it's clear that people who travel extensively pay a lot of attention to design. So far I've only used it in light rain, so don't rush to rate its water resistance. I wear a US 38 jacket with 40 sleeves (Euro 48/50), and the medium size fits perfectly: it fits snugly on the body, doesn't wobble at all, but doesn't constrict or pinch.
