I bought a set of these for my office as I wanted them to look like traditional donburi pottery but also something light weight, sturdy, microwave and dishwasher safe. These bowls are everything. They look simple and traditional, and the chopsticks, chirirenge spoon, and included silicone lids are nice bonuses. The only two negative things I have to say are 1) two of my four bowls have a rough interior and two are smooth, possibly due to manufacturing or shipping damage, and 2) put a silicone lid on the bowl you really to need. three hands. They're stretchy to create an airtight seal, but they don't want to stay put and you risk spilling the contents of the bowl struggling with the lid. Despite these two flaws, I would buy them again and am happy with my purchase.
