The installation was strange for our room (the reshaping or the door frame is difficult), but I managed to install it. It is easy to use and lockable so it cannot be opened. I like that it rolls to the side when we walk through the door. Our dogs are currently isolated in our bedroom but they love being able to see and hear us so we take advantage of this so we don't have to close the door to keep them inside. The other "old" gates we used were cumbersome and difficult to replace every time you go in to feed, water or potter them. Convenience is a big plus for our use.
