I liked the New Balance hiking shoes as they made a shoe that fit my very wide foot with a high arch comfortably. Until recently when they lost any semblance of quality control. I bought another pair of these shoes less than a year ago which are identical except for the color. They were very comfortable and looked good. I'm not good with shoes and after a few months they get pretty torn so I ordered another pair of the same model and size, 10.5/4E. These shoes look like they only have 10 watts. Unfortunately I expected them to fit like the others so I've already worn them camping which means I can't even return them. Unfortunately, I've had similar experiences with other NB shoes: the first liked and wore them to death, the second pair, also ordered this fall, has a defect in the insole, which always makes my sock look crumpled under the toes, and that Suede around the finger came off the rubber after only 3-4 weeks of wear. it, but New Balance has gone from my everyday shoe to an "avoid at all costs" shoe due to a complete lack of quality control. Sad.
