Surprised! Fast rolling, smooth, "Cush ". Virtually eliminates and smoothes out most road shakes.

They match the Surly Straggler perfectly. When I bought them there was only one review that really helped. I have to confirm that I hardly noticed any rolling resistance. This was especially true for the Schwalbe Marathon Mondial, which had really high rolling resistance. That's what I find most interesting about these tires. I'm actually quite surprised at how well they work. The advantage of these tires is that you can easily roll over many things that you would have to brake or try to avoid with narrow tires (25mm to 35mm). These tires are heavier than my Surly Knards or Clement X. "Please, USH, but I don't mind. I don't ride a rigid aluminum or light carbon bike. I drive steel. He is heavier and so am I. I've ridden my tires on a lot of gravel, dirt roads, double track, some single track, rough tarmac, back roads and more and these tires can roll over just about anything without judder. shocks and road vibrations. It took me a few trips to understand that they shouldn't be over-inflated. Now I put 40 to 42 pounds on her, and that pressure is normal for a 250-pound person. I ran them at 45-50 pounds and it was very harsh. You don't really increase rolling resistance by reducing the pressure. I've found that your overall times can actually be better with lower pressure as these tires absorb most of the impact you would otherwise feel, slowing you down and tiring you out quicker. I've ridden a few 50s, 60+s a mile on these tires and haven't gotten tired at all. just hungry.
