What is the difference in appearance. For some reason, Dodge doesn't include them in their new trucks. This leaves the underbody and rear suspension visible. My truck is white. This makes the 17-inch tire look tiny. The covers have instructions and snaps, but unless you have basic vehicle knowledge this can be quite tricky. I'm anything but new. Add some installation tips here. I have a 2020 Ram 2500 Tradesman (like "classic"). There are 2 partial covers in the rear wheel arches, one in the front and one in the back. remove the front cover. Remove the clips from this cover to use on a new liner. You may need to lengthen the pre-drilled holes to accommodate the old clips. As a side note, if you don't want to use the old clamps in favor of push pins, holes etc are fine. Remove or loosen all but one of the screws holding the back cover. Do not remove or loosen the screw that secures the back cover to the frame. You only need the lid to be loose enough. insert the liner between the lid and the tray. Do not remove the back cover completely. The back of the sidebar is exactly the same as the spacers in the front. Insert and position insert. Insert all screws and hand-tighten. On the back, the front opening matches the clip in the hem of the bed. In the back hole you will need to drill another hole in the seam, either for the self-tapping screw and washer (black) or a slightly larger hole for the clamp, machine screw and washer (black again). Tighten all screws. Then I used 2 push pins on each side at the 11:00 and 1:00 positions. I tapped them with a plastic mallet. Do this after tightening the bolts so the liner is held securely in place while you install the push pins. Each part is marked as driver or passenger side. If mixed up, the pre-drilled holes will not match. I did the driver's side in about 45 minutes. It took so long because I was studying on the go and mostly because I had removed the entire back cover. When I put it back, getting to the screw that held the piece to the bed was a challenge. I've learned that it doesn't need to be taken out or even loosened. I did the passenger side in about 10-15 minutes. I hope this helps those who are not mechanically inclined. After reading the reviews and based on my experience, I don't understand some of the difficulties that others are having. These liners fit well and improve the overall look of my new truck.
