Manage your expectations.

Pros: - Appears to be a quality build - Super easy to set up, connect and use - No obvious compression - Works great for movies, presentations, pictures and other things with low frame rates. - If it gets hot it shuts off until it cools down which is good in the sense that it just doesn't burn or melt, they have a failsafe so that's something. - Can be used with something with a high frame rate if you tether it to a fan. Cons: Heats up when you press it, I've used it for Zwift (a type of video game) and it would heat up and out and leave you stuck for minutes. - Movies with high signal degradation rate (when too much is happening on the screen, like in a car chase) - does not enable Samsung Dex or Desktop mode on Android phones, only mirrors the screen. Conclusion: It works, but is not designed for continuous use. Usage, has poor heat management but at least it has overheat protection to keep it from catching fire and you can glue it to a fan and in that case it works great. Signal degradation problems are inherent in these types of devices, even when the signal is fully uncompressed as a digital signal and data is lost along the way, particularly due to obstacles or electrical/static noise (which we all have when there's so much wireless crap around us ) or if the frame rate is high there is only so much data going through it and you see artifacts and pixelation all over the place. Don't get me wrong, it's very handy, I'm very picky so it's all very, very subjective. With movies there are only a few spots where you can see issues but for most it's like a regular Netflix stream, with games it's a bit of a bummer but at least I don't have to run a 5m/15ft cable through my room and into laying the drywall, so there it is. If you want to show photos, film or a presentation and you have line of sight between transmitter and receiver, this thing is great. I tested it up to 10 meters away (not enough space) and it still works fine. Again, this is all very subjective as to what good image quality means to you. I'm still debating whether it's worth keeping, mainly because I hate keeping it cool. The fan is just an extra thing that I have to plug into another USB port which I hate. If it weren't for this issue I wouldn't mind the slight image degradation when gaming or when Michael Bay blows up too many things and tries to make you dizzy by spinning and shaking the camera all over the place.

Pros
  • is understandable even for the old
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was
