We love all North States products! They are smart with their designs and their products have held up incredibly well. We already have 3 more goals from them. As other products are great we were disappointed to learn that if you don't install these gates in your door you will have problems with the baseboards. We found a solution but it's still frustrating because the gates are all floating 3/4" off the ground as we didn't want to cut a piece out of our quarter round trim (photo attached). The fix for the top of the gate wall was easy - just get a piece of wood (photo attached) from your local craft store, paint it to your liking, and once you've drilled the gate into the wall, drill an extra piece of wood.us.since all the gates over though floating off the ground it makes us nervous with our little one standing on the bottom bar. One day the whole thing might just snap out of the wall if it's heavy enough, but until then it's a fantastic goal. Despite the ridiculousness that the baseboard- Not being able to adjust wall anchors this is a GREAT gate, we definitely recommend them.(I also bought an extra extension because our opening was exactly 72", a 3/4" hole because of the baseboard, we brew do not require an extension. Fantastic!)
