We love all North States products! They are smart with their designs and their products have held up incredibly well. We already have 3 more goals from them. As other products are great we were disappointed to learn that if you don't install these gates in your door you will have problems with the baseboards. This is a schizophrenic product. Everything is fine after installation, but the installation process and hardware are missing. I bought and installed three of these, and here's what I found out: First, ditch the mounting screws that came with them, they're cheap, soft, and snap off too easily. I'm a hands on guy and on the first hinge I attached all three screws with the plates removed but waited until they were screwed in deep enough that the heads of the screws were below the surface of the…
