Wet Floor After Every Rain

I checked my car after rain and the hood, windshield, roof and the entire north side of the car were wet. I can't tell if it's a leak or condensation(?). So, a week later it started raining again, and I checked: wet again (!) in the same places. The rain was light and only at night, and there was less water on the car/under a canopy than the first time after 3 days of rain, sometimes heavy. So the amount of moisture seems to correlate with how much rain we got. But that is totally unacceptable. What if I haven't checked? What if the car was in the second house? So every time I had to take the lid off and dry it inside out. During this time, the car is exposed at night because it takes time to air the coating inside, it's like a giant bearskin carpet. I feel like I wasted my money. I specifically bought a waterproof/weatherproof cover but it's not.
