This works great with LEDs (and it claims other types too). I have it installed to control the vanity lights in our master bathroom and the range of light it allows for a set of four LED bulbs goes from a very dim, gentle light that I like for mornings while I'm getting ready for work early enough that its still dark outside (I like to wake up a bit slow), and it easily goes up to full brightness for all the wonderful tasks we get to do in front of bathroom mirrors.One detail I like too is that the slider is a physical little tab next to the rocker paddle switch. That means that I can turn it up or down BEFORE I turn on the light. So usually our bathroom light is on full brightness, but in the morning I can come into the bathroom still in the dark (we have nightlights so I don't break myself walking around completely blindly), I can push the slider down just by touch so when I switch on the light it is not still at blinding brightness. We also have some other switches that are the push pad type where I can only adjust the level AFTER the light is turned on so sometimes when I come in in the dark, I close my eyes, turn it on (blinding brightness), and adjust the level down while I wait. Not a catastrophic problem, but a small feature that I like about this switch.In addition, it has a small range setting under the cover, so you can set the power level depending on what type of lights you have with that range dial, and then the slider will go from dim to full brightness. This is handy too since LEDs and CFLs have different power levels, so you can set the range for whatever type of bulbs you have in that particular fixture.Good quality, great features, very happy with this switch!
