They worked correctly (with correct wire coding) when I first installed them on my sailboat trailer. You are bright enough. Although I'm not sure I would trust them to jump in the water. I have SAE quick couplers installed and will probably remove them before putting the trailer back in the water. Because of this, I wanted to attach the stud mounts to the headlights so that the studs, washers, and nuts couldn't easily get lost. With these devices, the screw heads are simply inserted into the plastic guide on the headlight. Whether they stay on the Autobahn remains to be seen. But these headlights seemed to achieve my goal of never buying a 1157 taillight bulb again.
