No individual purples

EDIT 4 to 1 I bought two. One was for a friend who loves PURPLE. From the description and photos it was clear that the lamp could give off a decent purple light. Not so. It can cycle through shades of purple, but the only stable light colors are red, green and blue (i.e. neither strong nor dense), light green and 4 clear options. piss off! Wanted purple! ---- For me, however, the only color I wanted was green. I used to have the green light on my porch for Christmas, but it didn't work this year. This little battery operated thing has made me very happy because my porch is GREEN again. And a timer! HOORAY! ----- And I think I'll have two since I can't give a purple gift! .hmmmmm ---- PS The turquoise listed in the item description also only exists in one cycle, not as a permanent color. UPDATE January 5 (I'm just avoiding watching the news? Yeah, sort of.) I'm returning both today. It's true that the timer might seem to tick one day and never again. It was OK. I found it convenient to turn them on at sunset and turn them off before bed. They made great Christmas decorations on my windows and my neighbors appreciated them. Minimal but festive. Then it wouldn't load. Then it finally turned on but didn't change color. Here are my matching holiday green Christmas windows. Eventually the battery died and it never got recharged and it wasn't *any* color. The 2nd lasted until the turn of the year, but then it was cancelled. I 100% liked them while they worked! But I expected them to keep working. The white light by the bed could come in handy in case a snow storm cuts the power. Spring.

Pros
  • There is something to it
Cons
  • Minor problems
