Review on MOOSUN Torque Converter Clutch Replaces by Robert Toomey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No startup project.

This is a 1 inch shank so will fit a Predator 301. No. 1/4" away from the crankcase filler. Then the bolt holding the clutch roller is too small, you need a 7/16 fine thread (had to drill deeper and rethread). The bushing that the bolt goes through, around the clutch to hold doesn't work with a larger 7/16 so it needs to be bored out (-" washer). The clutch pulley bearing plate wouldn't slide down the crankshaft far enough to line up with the driven pulley so I had to sanding the inside where the key is installed. let it slide further down the crankshaft. After that the spacers won't fit. Washing machines fix this easily. Clutch springs are too tight and won't engage. I've replaced them with the (blue) comet springs which I had.The driven pulley spring was very weak and I also replaced it with a (yellow) comet spring. It still wasn't quite right so i I changed the cheap belt and fringes, it's right on par with the comet. I had the springs and belt so the bolts only cost me about $15. If you had to buy feathers that's another $40. New belt 10€. If you have the tools and time this is a cheaper option but it took me about 4 hours to start and finish in a fairly well equipped workshop.
