Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ Wireless Smartphone Interface Scan Tool - Actron CP9600 U-Scan OBD II and CAN for 1996+ Vehicles by Andrew Griggs

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Totally unsuitable for tools and equipment

Me used to have an actron and decided to try the bluetooth version. It was pretty bad when I opened the package and put in a separate card that told me to call tech support if I had any problems. The scanner pairs with my Samsung Note 9 but does not connect. Two Revain Techcoms, a variety of other photo-sharing phones, and two headsets (Samsung and Bose) all pair and connect seamlessly. Also, I'm in the Middle East so calling is not an option. Just grab whatever scanner you have in hand and avoid that bluetooth adapter at all costs. If a company is required to file a separate technical support notification, it is clear that the product was improperly designed or tested, or both. That scanner is now worth a $100 paperweight! Thank you Actron!

Pros
  • Simply plug the adapter into your vehicle and use your Android or Apple smartphone to read the definitions of the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) that caused the Check Engine Light to illuminate
Cons
  • Concise Manual
