U-Scan provides do-it-yourselfers with access to their vehicle's diagnostics to determine the cause of check engine, ABS, and airbag lights - all with a simple plug-in tool and smartphone app. Simply plug the adapter into your vehicle and, using your Android or Apple smartphone, read the definitions for the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that caused the check engine light to illuminate. Reads and erases engine DTC's on ALL 1996 and newer import and domestic vehicles sold in the USA (OBD II & CAN); reads and erases ABS, SRS, and transmission codes for many 1996-2013 makes and models. Reads and displays: live real-time engine data (RPM, coolant temperature, sensor readings, etc), Inspection Maintanance (I/M) readiness for emissions, pending DTCs, and more. QUICKCHECK feature allows you to read Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and code definitions, erase DTCs and turn off the Check Engine light, and view I/M Monitors (Emissions). Includes access to the CodeConnect database to find the most likely cause of the check engine, ABS & Airbag lights and get manufacturer specific powertrain DTC fixes.

The app no ​​longer exists! It's useless without it!

Bought a scanner then went to google play to download a free app for it. The app has disappeared. There is no such app for Actron anymore! Nothing even close. So Actron U-Scan is useless without the app. There should be a disclaimer on the page to warn potential buyers. I just spent $25!

It works, but only if you successfully pair it with your car.

So, I've read all the reviews here (even useful ones) and it did not help me to solve the connection problem. Blue Tooth is connected but we ran a scan and they told me it's not connected. Then when you try to disconnect and connect the device it disappears on the phone and I have to start over. Of course I wouldn't recommend it. Spend a little more and get a better one (like Fixit)

Totally unsuitable for tools and equipment

Me used to have an actron and decided to try the bluetooth version. It was pretty bad when I opened the package and put in a separate card that told me to call tech support if I had any problems. The scanner pairs with my Samsung Note 9 but does not connect. Two Revain Techcoms, a variety of other photo-sharing phones, and two headsets (Samsung and Bose) all pair and connect seamlessly. Also, I'm in the Middle East so calling is not an option. Just grab whatever scanner you have in hand and…
