My 1 year old (recently 12 months old) loves his new bike! Her older brother has a balance bike and she always wants to ride it, but now she has her own! The first time I put her on it she looked so proud and happy! The balance and distance between the handlebars and the seat are perfect for her small, chubby, heavy frame, and the wheels are wide enough to help her. Keep your balance without tripping them. It's very light so it's easy to carry around, but it can also tip forward if a child bumps into something. So watch out for your little one first - my little one ran face down in the grass when her front wheel flew off the pavement with the first time. Now she has much better reflexes! It didn't take long for my little one to figure out how to get out of the house on her own, which is very important as she is very independent. I appreciate that the handlebars and seat are padded - we all know how often kids fall. The only negative comment on this item is that I wish the seat and handlebars were adjustable. It fits perfectly now but I don't know if it will be too small in a few months.
