Memory Conditioning

This isn't the quickest review I've posted, in part, because I wanted to see how things went over the long term with this game. On the one hand, you want to alert fellow buyers as soon as possible so they make informed decisions, but you also want to understand a product so you don't lead others astray. This BrainBolt game passes the test of time (and serves as a nice pasttime for both kids and adults). In a world of mobile games that provide flat/smooth-screen interactions, it's nice to have something a little more tactile, if not quite as versatile as an all-in-one smartphone or tablet. The buttons and sounds are satisfying, though the sounds can be disabled on the half-setting of the power switch. There are a few different game modes, including a 2-player option as well. I find my daughter coming back to the game over and over, so it wasn't just a one-and-done novelty. A nice little diversion to take along in the car, but perhaps in its memory-conditioning, it's even more than that! Well made, runs on three AAA batteries, and a neat little game overall.

Pros
  • Contains adjustable difficulty levels, catering to all skill levels
Cons
  • The device may take up too much space
