I've been reading about drinking copper to help with the arthritis and anemia I have. It is also said to help with many other ailments. So I found these unlined copper mugs for me and some friends. Of course you leave the water in the cup overnight or at least 4 hours before drinking. A glass of water in the morning and one in the evening. Three months, then one month off. Then start again. (This guide was found on the Ayurveda website, not the companies' websites.) In any case, Coppure includes a recipe card with instructions for cleaning cups of vinegar or lemon juice and salt. The mugs are beautiful, of good quality and very well packaged. *Update* After writing this review, I was searching the internet for ways to drink from copper vessels and came across an article on copper toxicity. It turns out I have a lot more symptoms of intoxication than copper losses. Adding copper at this stage can be dangerous. Looks like unlined copper mugs are making a comeback. They're still beautiful, but research them before you buy them.
