So I bought them to keep my Macbook Pro from overheating less by having these thermal pads in contact with the bottom of the case (that's how the bottom acts like a giant heat spreader). Needless to say, these thermal pads worked very well and the temps dropped a bit, they just worked as I expected, a little "too well" at heat transfer. Depending on the position of the thermal pads, the touching areas on the underside got very hot after prolonged use, which I couldn't use on my lap. Changing the position of the thermal pads helped solve this problem, making the temperature very dependent on the position. However, they worked as expected, and I used this update on my 2012 Macbook Air and helped improve thermal performance by a smaller margin (although MBA has significantly fewer thermal issues than rMBP, so the improvement was much smaller). Prices, I don't know what I'm going to do with the huge thermal pad as I haven't used too much of it, but it's a really good deal for the price. It smells funny when you open the packaging, but it's not a big deal as it weathers pretty quickly. Very good bang for the buck considering how much thermal pad you get.
