Review on MaxWorks 80773 Lightweight Foldable Aluminum Platform & Step Stool with 350 lbs. Weight Capacity by Charles Russell

The ladder may tip over.

Good step stool. I weigh about 210 pounds and it supports the weight with no problem. However, this can be undone. If you walk to the side edge, the chair can tip toward you like a tidily wink. it happened to me He turned and I fell onto my back. I believe this was caused by setting the long side legs vertically, which created the opportunity for the stool to roll towards you unless you step directly on the center of the stool. Obviously stepping on the edge is wrong and I should have centered my step, but I was thinking about what I would do, not what I would do! I almost returned it afterwards, but I decided to do a field repair and redrilled the holes on each leg and moved all four legs out on the long side sixteen (16) degrees. Did I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY NOT! But I take personal responsibility for my actions. I also understand that the supports may have come loose but they haven't and I check for cracks etc. Since then I haven't had any tilting issues and use the platform to fix my garage almost daily. I was hesitant to give this review as you need to be careful on this or any other staircase. Maybe the company that makes them needs to change the design. I don't know but the only difference would be that the stool would be about six (6) inches wider. This will no doubt affect shipping, but in my opinion it will enhance an already great product.
