The picture on the packaging is NOT what you will get when finished. wings and you can see the second eyeball. HOWEVER, if you complete the locking hook with instructions, there is NO black in the tail, NO second eyeball, and it is NOT very detailed. It's dramatic, but not ALMOST as pretty as the picture on the box. Also, the rug is NOT the same size as in the instructions. I was missing a few lines even though I followed the diagram exactly. In addition, the carpet has a very good backing. But the drawing is so faint that I had to look at it from a distance to even get a rough idea of which side was up. The yarn was of excellent quality, very smooth and silky, soft to the touch. A beautiful picture emerges. but don't expect it to be anywhere near as good as advertised. Which is very annoying.
