I am setting up an axolotl aquarium that requires the water to be chilled and kept below a certain temperature. I needed a way to constantly monitor the temperature and I could see it from my desk. Immediately after connecting, he began to correct the temperature readings. I held my thumb over the sensor and watched the numbers increase. Very accurate. The screen backlight is the ideal brightness in my opinion, not dim but not too bright either. It is used for a 55g tank and for what it is used for I barely had enough cord length to connect the probe and to put the USB plug where I wanted. I would have liked more length, but since it can be used for other purposes, not only for aquariums, I can understand why it has short cables.
