Works great! Now I always know at a glance what the temperature in the aquarium is. I had a heating failure and killed my fish. That's what prompted this purchase. Use tweezers to remove the Fahrenheit jumper on the back. I also saw a review that said he wasn't sure if the gauge lines were just for show or actually worked. I tested the probe's operation under tap water and you can observe the movement of the lined gauge. Very satisfied. I used velcro and attached it to the corner or tank.

They sent me the wrong meter, I ordered the 4 pin 12 volt version and they sent me the USB version. The product description says it has an operating voltage of 5 to 24V (USB - 5), so I connected the USB socket to my 12V source and plugged in this sensor - and it works, no problem. I saw another review that said they burned it by plugging it into a 3 amp USB socket. mine works fine on a 30 amp 12 volt line so take it as you will. I am setting up an axolotl aquarium that requires the water to be chilled and kept below a certain temperature. I needed a way to constantly monitor the temperature and I could see it from my desk. Pros: Came complete and working. The display is always on as long as it is connected to a power source. Being able to control the temperature with a backlit digital display is great because it looks cool, especially when you place it outside of the tank. The good thing is that the display is backlit, so the display is bright and easy to see even if you turn off the lights in the room.
