Retractable Gate: Safety

When I got my first retractable gate my main concern was if it would be strong enough for my team of 5 to 5 kids and let's not forget the standard poodle puppies that I have , are there too. I can assure you that you are strong. The mesh is strong and durable. They keep restricted areas and/or keep small children/puppies. I have gates in literally every door in my house, including bedroom doors. This is a must if you have kids like me. My favorite part is that when the kids are gone (which doesn't happen often, we don't bother) I can use the retractable feature and hide the gate. You have no idea how freely you can walk through the door without opening and closing the gate behind me, before the sliding gate I haven't done this in 5 years. My only complaint is that I have yet to find a retractable gate that is the 48 inch height I want. My older toddlers can jump to this height with no problem, but my child cannot. And neither can my puppies, but my adult male can (he can jump 48 inch gates too, so.). In general, the gate is strong. If you have climbers, it won't stop them. When using this on your pet, small dogs are fine, but lab size and larger can easily jump on it (I know some small breeds are better at climbing than even larger breeds *I'm talking about you Jack Russell* so take that into account ).
